Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn rematch reportedly set for UK stadium showdown

Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn 2 is reportedly booked despite recent reports that the fight was a lost cause.

Almost immediately after Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn battled in one of the wildest fights of the year in April, fans and pundits clamored for the two fierce rivals to run it back. Eubank won their first fight by unanimous decision over Benn to win his third consecutive bout.

Promoter Eddie Hearn went on a furious rant accusing Eubank of sabotaging the rematch in the weeks after their first fight. Benn also accused Eubank of being ‘scared’ of a potential rematch.

Despite recent doubt of a Eubank vs. Benn rematch coming to fruition, boxing fans received great news on Tuesday night.

Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn 2 reportedly booked for Tottenham Stadium

As first reported by The Ring, Eubank Jr. vs. Benn 2 is a done deal for November 15th in Tottenham Stadium. The card will be marketed as ‘Unfinished Business’.

Eubank vs. Benn 2 will be promoted by Sela, and sponsored by Riyadh Season and Ring Magazine. The full card is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Benn will get the chance to avenge his first career loss after winning his 23 previous professional bouts. Before falling to Eubank, Benn defeated the likes of Chris Algieri, Samuel Vargas, and Sebastian Formella.

Eubank has bounced back since suffering a TKO loss to Liam Smith in January 2023. After knocking out Smith in their immediate rematch, Eubank knocked out Kamil Szeremeta to win the vacant IBO middleweight championship.

Eubank proclaimed he holds a significant advantage over Benn in their rematch after going 12 rounds with his fierce rival. Meanwhile, Benn hasn’t shied away from the spotlight since the fight and has repeatedly expressed brutal honesty in evaluating the mistakes he made.

If Eubank is victorious in the Benn rematch, he could potentially be next in line to fight Canelo Alvarez after Alvarez’s upcoming super fight.

Just weeks before the Eubank vs. Benn rematch, Alvarez will fight Terence Crawford in a highly-anticipated showdown with his super middleweight titles on the line. Turki Alalshikh has repeatedly touted Eubank as a future opponent for Alvarez, regardless of what happens in the Crawford fight.

If Benn gets his revenge, a trilogy bout with Eubank would be the most likely option for both sides. Benn has also been linked to the likes of Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney in recent months.

The Eubank vs. Benn rematch adds to a solid end to the boxing schedule for 2025.
