Conor Benn lists the things he needs to do ‘less’ of ahead of Chris Eubank Jr. rematch

Conor Benn is aiming to get revenge on his bitter rival Chris Eubank Jr. when the pair rematch on September 20th.

Although Eubank Jr. feels he has advantages in his rematch with Benn, the pair shared a close meeting in April.

The fight in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ended in a unanimous decision win for Eubank Jr., as Benn suffered his first loss as a professional.

Aiming to get revenge over his rival, Benn has listed the things he needs to change ahead of the highly anticipated sequel.

Conor Benn makes honest assessment of the things he needs to change for Chris Eubank Jr. rematch

Should Benn wish to improve on his performance from April, there may be some things he needs to change.

Terence Crawford has told Benn that he needs to work on his fitness among other things. However, ‘The Destroyer’ himself listed some things he needs ‘less of’.

Speaking to Carl Froch on his YouTube channel, the British boxers were discussing the upcoming rematch.

Benn said that for their rematch, he will still try and “take his [Eubank Jr.’s] head off,” as he did in their first meeting. However, he also listed necessary changes that need to be made.

“[I need to be] less eager, less greedy, less headhunting. There’s so many things I could work on.”

In their meeting in London, Benn started with great energy and aggression. However, he was not able to knock down or knock out his opponent.

For their rematch, it appears as if Benn may take a more calculated approached, based on his comments.

Conor Benn admits that he has not watched his fight with Chris Eubank Jr. back

Although Benn said that he needs to make adjustments going into his rematch with Eubank Jr., he admitted he has not rewatched the fight.

Speaking to Froch almost three months after the loss, Benn said, “I haven’t watched it back, I can’t.”

The 28-year-old added, “I want to enjoy my summer because I know Tony [Sims] is going to absolutely give it to me.”

Benn then said that in the immediate aftermath of the fight, his coach Tony Sims began to critique his performance. However, Benn said, ‘not now’ before the pair laughed about it.
