Floyd Mayweather said a win over a legend under difficult circumstances is one of the performances that means the most to him.
In his remarkable career, ‘Money’ cemented his status as one of the greatest practitioners of the sweet science the world has ever seen.
Mayweather branded Manny Pacquiao an ‘easy fight’, knocked out Ricky Hatton, and claimed a victory over Miguel Cotto.
However, while he made Las Vegas his home, it was a trip to the East Coast that really stands out to him.

Floyd Mayweather relives his victory over Arturo Gatti
On June 25, 2005, Floyd Mayweather challenged Arturo Gatti for the WBC super lightweight title inside the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.
In an impressive display, the American forced his rival’s corner to pull their man out at the end of the sixth round.
That night meant the world to Mayweather.
In an interview with Fight Hype, in March, he said: “Arturo Gatti, where they made me go to his turf and made me the B-side and him the A-side.
“Nothing could stop me. So, that was a big moment for me to go there and be victorious on his turf and beat him for his title in front of his fans.”
Floyd Mayweather annihilated one of the biggest punchers in boxing
Gatti isn’t the only huge stoppage win Mayweather has on his resume.
Towards the end of his career, the sportsman developed a reputation for his slick skills rather than his punching power.
However, during his days as ‘Pretty Boy’, he landed plenty of crushing blows.
In a devastating display, Mayweather knocked out a massive puncher.
