Terence Crawford dominated future world champion who fans claimed was ‘robbed’ of title two fights prior

Terence Crawford cruised past a boxer many believe was unlucky in his first attempt at world honors.

On September 13, ‘Bud’ will battle it out with Canelo Alvarez inside Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

For many, the Mexican is a considerable favorite. However, Jeff Horn thinks Crawford can knock Canelo out.

Throughout his career, the American has showcased sensational skills. And they were on full display against ‘Sugar’.

Terence Crawford easily beat Ray Beltran

On November 29, 2014, Terence Crawford put his WBO lightweight world title on the line against Ray Beltran at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska, USA.

Exhibiting his superior talent, the undefeated star comfortably outboxed his foe to win via unanimous decision.

The loss was heartbreaking for Beltran, who at this stage had now fallen short twice in world title fights, with his previous defeat coming under controversial circumstances against Ricky Burns.

Following his showdown with the Scotsman, fans took to social media to voice their displeasure with the decision.

One said: “The crowd was silent when they heard the scorecards. They knew it was a robbery.” Another added: “Definitely robbed against Burns.”

However, despite two failed attempts at scaling the boxing mountain, Beltran eventually achieved his dream, defeating Paulus Moses to win the WBO 135-pound belt in 2018.

While Beltran lost comfortably to Crawford, he did manage to hear the final bell.

The same can’t be said for most fighters who’ve shared the ring with the boxing genius.

In a devastating display, Crawford rendered an opponent unconscious with a thunderous punch.
