Oleksandr Usyk won first world title by beating a tough fighter who’d knocked out one of the best cruiserweights ever

Oleksandr Usyk produced a magnificent performance to win his first cruiserweight world title.

On July 19, the legend will return to the ring against Daniel Dubois, inside Wembley Stadium in London, UK.

This time around, the Englishman is determined to get the win. However, Johnny Nelson thinks Usyk beats Dubois again.

It’s tough for most to look past the two-weight champion, after all, he’s been borderline flawless since first taking over the sport.

Oleksandr Usyk beat Krzysztof Glowacki who’d defeated Marco Huck

On August 14, 2015, Krzysztof Glowacki challenged Marco Huck for the WBO cruiserweight world title inside the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, USA.

After getting knocked down in the sixth, the Pole bit down on his gumshield and mounted an epic comeback. In the eleventh round, he dropped the icon twice, firstly with a right hand, before closing the show with a brutal combination that sent his opponent through the ropes.

Two fights later, he was putting his belt on the line against Oleksandr Usyk on home soil, inside the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland.

Throughout the bout, the now pound-for-pound number one showed flashes of brilliance.

He completely outboxed his opponent, utilizing his superior footwork and shot selection to dominate the contest.

After twelve rounds, he walked away with a unanimous decision victory and his first professional world title.

All these years later and Usyk is still a dominant champion.

The gifted practitioner of the sweet science currently rules over the heavyweight division.

However, at 38, he won’t be around forever.
