Oleksandr Usyk is hoping to become a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion as he takes on Daniel Dubois for the second time on July 19th in Wembley Stadium.
Oleksandr Usyk is hoping to become a three-time undisputed champion with a second win over Daniel Dubois later this month.
Usyk became undisputed for the first time as a heavyweight with a win over ‘The Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia.
His route to stardom began in 2016 when he won his first world title in 2016 against Krzysztof Glowacki in Poland, but it was in the fight after when he saw the consequences of fighting on too long.

Oleksandr Usyk knocked out Thabiso Mchunu on Bernard Hopkins’ devastating undercard
Coming off the back of a win over Glowacki, Usyk’s next fight landed in Inglewood, California, where he faced 17-2 Thabiso Mchunu.
Mchunu had lost only to Ilunga Makabu, a world champion, and a lower level opponent earlier in his career.
Usyk’s first title defense against the American landed on the undercard of Bernard ‘The Executioner’ Hopkins final fight against Joe Smith Jr.
Hopkins was almost 52 years of age when he faced Smith, and time truly caught up to him as Smith sent Hopkins flying out of the ring with a massive knockout.
This marked the last fight in Hopkins’ legendary career, and saw one spark fade while another was ignited, as Usyk, who thinks Dubois quit, finished his first defense with a brutal ninth-round knockout.
