Muhammad Ali was exhausted after fighting Joe Frazier

On October 1, 1975, Muhammad Ali traded leather with Joe Frazier in ‘The Thrilla in Manila’.

The bout delivered in abundance, with the pair putting it all on the line in the pursuit of victory.

After 14 thrilling rounds, ‘Smokin’ was pulled out, awarding Ali with one of the biggest victories in boxing history.

Overwhelmed, he collapsed to the canvas, and said: “That was the closest thing to dying that I know. He’s the greatest fighter of all time next to me.”

Ali and Frazier delivered something special every single time they entered the squared circle together.

However, they were just as entertaining outside of the ring as they were in it.

In a shocking turn of events, Ali and Frazier once brawled in the middle of an interview.
