During an enthralling first round, in which each boxer connected with crushing blows, Hagler sustained a nasty cut, which the ringside doctor reviewed during the third segment.
Desperate for the fight not to get stopped, ‘Marvellous’, said to the medical expert: “I’m not missing him, am I?”
Luckily for the warrior, the bout carried on, with the injured fighter savagely knocking out his rival just moments later with a devastating blow.
