Manny Pacquiao will return to the ring at the age of 46 against world champion, Mario Barrios, on July 19th.
Manny Pacquiao has had just one fight in the last four years, and one win in the last six, ahead of his fight with Mario Barrios.
Worse still, Pacquiao has scored just one knockout in the last 16 years, and seems far removed from the knockout-machine he once was.
In 2009, he scored his penultimate knockout over Miguel Cotto before finding himself in a long knockout drought.

Manny Pacquiao couldn’t stop Chris Algieri even with six knockdowns
In 2014, Pacquiao had found himself in an eight-fight knockout drought, having not scored a KO since the Cotto win.
Pacquiao also lost to Tim Bradley via highly controversial decision, and Pac Man was stopped by Juan Manuel Marquez in the infamous fourth fight of their rivalry.
Hoping to end the drought, Pacquiao faced 20-0 Chris Algieri, a former super-lightweight world champion.
According to BoxRec, Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, predicted an early knockout. However, despite scoring six knockdowns over the course of the fight, Pacquiao’s drought continued, as Algieri evaded the Filipino fighter’s attempts to finish him off, and dropped a unanimous decision loss.
“Yes. I am looking for a knockout but he is fast and moving, so it’s hard to get Chris,” Pacquiao said after the fight.
Manny Pacquiao’s drought continued for four more fights
After the Algieri win, Pacquiao went into the mega-fight with Floyd Mayweather, a fight he lost by unanimous decision.
Following the loss, Pacquiao defeated Tim Bradley and Jessie Vargas and lost controversially to Jeff Horn, before facing Lucas Matthysse.

Pacquiao stopped Matthysse in the seventh round of their 2018 fight, finally ending a nine-year, 13-fight knockout drought.
His KO over Matthysse was the last of his career.
