Manny Pacquiao got finished by Medgoen Singsurat

On September 17, 1999, Manny Pacquiao went to war with Medgoen Singsurat at the Pakpanag Metropolitan Stadium in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand.

The legend forfeited his WBC flyweight title after missing weight, which gave his opponent an extra boost of motivation to punish him and claim the belt for himself.

While ‘PacMan’ clearly had the superior talent, his rival started quickly, determined to upset the apple cart.

In the third round, he bullied the icon up against the ropes and unleashed a perfect body shot.

Pacquiao couldn’t recover from the blow, with Singsurat achieving his lifelong dream of becoming champion of the world.

The loss to Singsurat was the second of Pacquiao’s career.

However, while that was somewhat of a surprise, it was nothing compared to his first defeat.
