On Saturday night, the Filipino returned to action, challenging Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight world title.
Despite being 46 years of age, the popular athlete looked spectacular. Many fans think Pacquiao actually beat Barrios.
His terrific display was all the more impressive considering what had happened the previous time he had entered a professional ring.

Manny Pacquiao apologized after loss to Yordenis Ugas
On August 21, 2021, Manny Pacquiao put his WBA welterweight world title on the line against Yordenis Ugas inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
While ‘PacMan’ had moments of success, for the most part, the Cuban was able to control the distance with his ramrod jab, en route to winning via unanimous decision.
Following the contest, a heartbroken Pacquiao addressed the spectators.
In his post-fight interview, the superstar said: “I’m so thankful to the fans [for] coming here to witness the fight live.
“I’m really appreciative of your effort to come here even despite this pandemic, you have time to watch the fight live, and I’m sorry that we lost tonight, but you know, I did my best and I apologize.”
