Joseph Parker came out on top against a thunderous puncher.

In his career, the New Zealander has scored many a stoppage win, with one coming against a man who apparently has heavier hands than Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Parker finished Alexander Dimitrenko with a vicious shot, and more recently, knocked out Martin Bakole.

And in a Trans-Tasman grudge match, he claimed a victory over a man who challenged Wladimir Klitschko for the world heavyweight title.

Joseph Parker finished Alex Leapai, who Kevin Johnson said hits harder than Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua

On June 29, 2019, Joseph Parker went toe-to-toe with Alex Leapai at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.

Going into the bout, the Kiwi knew he had to be on his A-game to beat the Australian. After all, Kevin Johnson said Leapai hits harder than Fury and Joshua.

Parker quickly entered the eye of the storm, unloading rapid combinations and heavy uppercuts in the first round.

That theme continued for the next three segments, with ‘The Lionheart’ showcasing a granite chin.

The pace had slowed by the tenth, but Parker was still landing heavy shots. After a three-punch combination, the referee jumped in.
