Having destroyed each other in the trash-talk department in the lead-up to the bout, fans across the world tuned in, with Dana White revealing that the contest did a massive amount of PPV buys.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal’s Unnamed Podvideocast, he said: “We broke the record. The thing ended up doing 6.7 million pay-per-view buys globally.

Oscar De La Hoya made shock claim about the split for Floyd Mayweather fight

Mayweather was undoubtedly the A-side when he faced McGregor.

When ‘Money’ faced ‘The Golden Boy’, it was the Mexican-American who was the big draw.

Interestingly, De La Hoya revealed how much more he was paid than Mayweather was.
