Floyd Mayweather isn’t really undefeated in the eyes of Julio Cesar Chavez.

In his astonishing career, ‘Money’ proved himself to be one of the greatest practitioners of the sweet science to have ever graced the sport.

Mayweather ruthlessly stopped Philip N’dou, won world titles in five weight classes, and earned his place in the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

However, while he never officially lost inside the ring, ‘El Gran Campeón Mexicano’, believes the American ought to have fallen short on two occasions.

Floyd Mayweather lost to Oscar De La Hoya and Jose Luis Castillo, says Julio Cesar Chavez

Julio Cesar Chavez believes that while officially undefeated, Floyd Mayweather, in reality, should have losses to Oscar De La Hoya and Jose Luis Castillo on his record.

During an interview with Fight Hype from 2015, he refused to hold back from giving his opinion.

The legend claimed: “I think Jose Luis Castillo beat him, I think Floyd Mayweather lost the fight.

“I think he also lost to Oscar De La Hoya by a point. He’s lost two fights, and they’ve given them to him.”

Regardless of what the record books say, Chavez thinks Castillo and De La Hoya did enough to beat Mayweather.

And an esteemed trainer isn’t so sure the superstar possessed the skills to have come out of one particular fantasy fight unscathed.

Interestingly, the coach said Mayweather would’ve lost to a power puncher.
