Anthony Joshua told Tyson Fury he’d lose to David Haye
Back in 2013, Tyson Fury was scheduled to go to war with David Haye, in a bout that never actually ended up happening.
Prior to the fight that never was, the future unified champion joined Anthony Joshua and a plethora of other heavyweight stars to discuss the contest.
When asked to give a breakdown, Joshua replied: “Fury’s advantages, long, keep it there, move, southpaw or orthodox is good. Haye is going to come out, he’ll probably come out behind his jab, moving, slipping shots.
“He’s an explosive puncher, David Haye, I’ve heard that from trainers, and I’ve seen him knock guys out. I don’t think anyone will get knocked out, I think it’ll go to points.”
When pressed by Johnny Nelson to reveal where he’d place his money, Joshua replied: “I’d put it on Haye.”
