A former world champion has branded the recent Times Square event topped by Ryan Garcia as passionless, trash, and a waste of time.
Ryan Garcia suffered his second loss in his fight with Rolly Romero in Times Square in a fight which saw the star fail to impress, appearing content with dropping a points loss.
The undercard was no better, as Jose Ramirez came dangerously close to breaking the record for fewest punches landed by a fighter in his snooze-fest against Devin Haney, who looked overly cautious from the first bell.
Arnold Barboza Jr., who has been waiting for his title shot for a while, failed to capitalize on it, and fell short of all expectations against Teofimo Lopez.
But nobody was more unimpressed with the bout than one former world champion.

Tim Bradley blasts Times Square event and the fighters involved… ‘The fighters were pawns’
In an interview with Fight Hub TV, former two-weight world champion and Manny Pacquiao opponent, Tim Bradley launched into a tirade on the Times Square event:
“The fighters on there, they don’t have the passion, bro. They don’t have the desire, bro. At all. Everybody is spoiled nowadays. These fighters are all spoiled.”
Bradley seemed to suggest fighters being paid huge sums by Turki Alalshikh‘s investment has made some lose their hunger for the sport:
“No hunger, only there for the money. […] No passion, no drive, no hunger. Fighters are whack. Straight up whack, all of them. Straight trash. Whack. That was horrible to watch.”
“That wasn’t a boxing event. […] It was a flex, ‘look what we can do’, it wasn’t about the fighters. The fighters were pawns.”
He concluded: “I never want to see something like that ever again.”
Tim Bradley roasts Devin Haney, Arnold Barboza, and Ryan Garcia
In the same interview, Bradley said of Barboza’s fight: “Barboza, what the f—, are you kidding me? You’ve been waiting twelve years for this fight, you’ve been calling for this fight, 12 years, and you put up that type of performance, bro? […] That’s shameful.”

Of Garcia and Haney’s fights, Bradley, who slammed Haney’s lawsuit against Garcia, said: “Ryan Garcia ain’t no true fighter. […] Haney put on a s— show, Ryan put on a s— show as well, but Haney was supposed to be going back to the drawing board getting better, do you think he got better?”
He concluded on Garcia: “All Ryan Garcia want is money” and on Haney: “Grow some balls.”
The second event in a weekend stacked full of boxing didn’t impress either, as Canelo vs Scull broke the record for fewest punches thrown in a 12-round contest and an out-of-shape Martin Bakole got lucky with a draw against Efe Ajagba.
