Brian Norman Jr. won the WBO interim welterweight title with a stunning tenth-round KO over Giovanni Santillan.

‘I don’t even remember that this title match was decided’… Jin Sasaki cannot recall the last month and a half after vicious KO
In the fifth round, Norman Jr. sealed the victory with a thunderous knockout that sent Sasaki to the canvas out cold.
Sasaki was quickly counted out, awarding Norman Jr. an impressive win.
His Japanese foe was stretchered out of the ring, and has reportedly spoken on losing much of his memory after waking up in the hospital.
According to Issei Nakaya, who is the president of Sasaki’s gym and accompanied him the hospital, Sasaki had lost his memory of the last month, and was unable to even recall the fight being made, let alone entering the ring for it.
He reportedly said: “I don’t even remember that this title match was decided.”
Brian Norman Jr. boldly accuses one champion of ducking
Norman Jr. followed up his win over Sasaki with a bold statement, accusing Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis of ducking him.

Norman said after the win: “I wish I had a certain fight coming up, but they heard the storm coming. You know what happens when the storm is coming. You grab your boots and run,”
This comes after Ennis moved up to 154 pounds, though several offers were made for Norman to fight him before the career decision.
