Why Oleksandr Usyk will stop Daniel Dubois again, according to a boxing legend

Oleksandr Usyk is about to finish Daniel Dubois for the second time, according to a former boxing world champion.

On July 19, the pair of heavyweight titans will go to war for the second time at Wembley Stadium in London, UK.

While the former cruiserweight King isn’t renowned for his power, he can deliver crushing blows when necessary. Notably, Usyk savagely stopped Marco Huck in the quarter-finals of the World Boxing Super Series.

And an ex-champion believes he’ll add another stoppage to his record when he faces his English rival next month.

Johnny Nelson says Oleksandr Usyk will knock Daniel Dubois out

Johnny Nelson is confident Oleksandr Usyk will secure another stoppage victory against Daniel Dubois.

While he rates the IBF champion, he ultimately thinks the pound-for-pound number one has the superior skills.

In an interview with the Ring Magazine, the Brit explained: “I do believe Usyk could possibly stop Daniel, and it won’t be with one shot. It’ll be an accumulation of simple pressure on Daniel.

“Daniel is the stronger of the two, but Usyk has been in with a lot of people who were stronger, but he’s been able to negate what advantages they had.

“Knowledge is power. Usyk knows what Dubois is about. Usyk has shown that he can think and change the direction of a fight. He proved that in the [previous] fight [against Dubois in 2023].

“He knew how to milk the situation. He knew how to play the game, find himself a little time, and come back and beat Daniel up,”
