Francis Ngannou has hinted at the possibility of returning to boxing as he prepares for his upcoming MMA fight.
Ngannou will make his debut in the Professional Fighters League on Saturday 26 October and will take on Renan Ferreira.
The Cameroonian may be returning to familiar surroundings but hasn’t ruled out switching back to boxing again and named two opponents that he would face.

Francis Ngannou eyes up Tyson Fury rematch
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of his highly-anticipated bout next week, Ngannou admitted he wanted to be involved in a big boxing night once again, and even posited the idea of a rematch against Tyson Fury, as well as another heavyweight star.
He said: “Why not a name like [Deontay] Wilder or a rematch with [Tyson] Fury.
“I don’t know. I’m down for everything that makes sense.”
Francis Ngannou vs Deontay Wilder makes sense for all parties
A rematch against Fury would be an entertaining prospect, but with the Gypsy King busy preparing for his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk before potentially going on to face Anthony Joshua, it’s unlikely for that to happen.
What is more likely to happen, and that makes more sense, is Ngannou facing Deontay Wilder.
The American’s days at the top of the heavyweight division are over. Four defeats in his last five fights, including a brutal knockout loss against Zhilei Zhang mean his stock has fallen.
Retirement has been floated as a possibility but then again, the idea of a huge payday against Ngannou will be hard to resist.
38-year-old Ngannou will fancy his chances against Wilder, 39, although, despite his recent fall from grace, Wilder will still be deemed as the favorite.
