Derek Chisora wants to go out with a bang against Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium.
The heavyweight boxer is calling time on his career in 2025, with his current record standing at 49 fights with 36 wins to his name.
After an 18-year spell as a professional boxer, Derek Chisora wants his final outing to be his mandatory title fight Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium, potentially winning the IBF Heavyweight Championship in his 50th and final match.

Chisora beat Otto Wallin in February to set up this bought, although not everyone thinks it is such a good idea for the 41-year-old.
Daniel Dubois’ trainer worries for Derek Chisora’s health if title fight goes ahead
Due to his age and the weathering his body has taken over the past 18 years, Chisora is a worry if the fight with Dubois goes ahead.
This is according to Don Charles, Dubois’ trainer who helped Chisora through 38 fights in his career. The legendary trainer is worried for the boxer’s health, should he step into the ring with the IBF Heavyweight Champion.
Speaking about the fight, Charles told talkSPORT:
“I wouldn’t like to see this fight for a lot of reasons. Firstly because of his age, there is a lot of mileage on the clock to face off against a human being who is in his physical prime.
“I wouldn’t want to see that for Derek, he has 49 fights and I have trained him for 38 of them.
“I wouldn’t want to see it for health reasons, but in my other heart Derek deserves a good send-off.”
Chisora is the mandatory challengers for Dubois’ IBF Heavyweight Championship. If he wins that fight then he will retire as champion.
Francis Ngannou was interested in fighting Dubois in boxing return
If Chisora heads Charles’ warning and doesn’t take the fight, then Dubois would still have a big-name challenger ready to step up.
MMA star Francis Ngannou dipped his toe into the boxing world, fighting Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua in 2023 and 2024. Ngannou’s return to boxing could see him face Dubois as he refused to rule out the fight.
Speaking with MailSport, Ngannou said:
“Dubois is a very tough opponent. I think for years they’ve been talking about him like an upcoming guy in the heavyweight division. His last fight [against Joshua], he proved it.
“But again, no fight is not doable, because nobody believed he was going to take Joshua out.”
Ngannou would be a much different fight than Chisora, but a challenge that Dubois would surely relish.
