Daniel Dubois vs Anthony Joshua

Despite holding the IBF heavyweight title that Usyk made the huge decision to vacate following his win against Tyson Fury, Dubois was still very much the underdog for the huge clash against AJ.

However, the 27-year-old defied the odds to shock everyone inside Wembley Stadium, including potential future opponent Fury, as he knocked down Joshua multiple times inside the opening three rounds.

Joshua staged a mini fightback in the fourth round when he caught Dubois and appeared to do so again in the fifth but walked right into his opponent’s trap, who landed a heavy right hand to the chin to floor the two-time world champion.

It was arguably Dubois’ greatest performance in his professional career and despite being called out by Zhilei Zhang, is the favorite to take on the winner of the Usyk vs Fury rematch.

Dubois vs Jarrell Miller

Dubois faced Jarrell Miller in December 2023 as part of the undercard for Joshua’s fight against Otto Wallin.

It would be another knockout win for the 26-year-old, stopping Miller in the 10th round in Saudi Arabia with just seconds of the round to go.

Dubois vs Oleksandr Usyk

In August 2023 Dubois faced his biggest test as he challenged unified heavyweight champion Usyk for his WBA (super), IBF, WBO, IBO and Ring titles in Wroclaw, Poland.

Usyk went on to win the tie with a ninth-round stoppage however the fight was marred by controversy after the Ukrainian was dropped in the fifth by Dubois which was ruled out due to it being deemed a low blow.

In his post-fight interview, Dubois claimed he had been “cheated out of victory” and any rematch between the pair is likely to have extra weight on the line.

Dubois vs Joe Joyce

December 2020 saw Dubois aim to defend his British and Commonwealth titles, alongside his WBC Silver and WBO International titles against ‘Juggernaut’ Joyce in London.

Although Dubois landed the harder, cleaner punches in the bout, Joyce was more composed and repeatedly saw luck with a jab towards the 26-year-old’s left eye.

Dubois suffered swelling during the second round and by the time he had reached the 10th, another shot to the already-shut eye saw him go down and suffer the first loss of his career.

Dubois vs Kevin Lerena

Dubois’ fight against Kevin Lerena saw him defend his WBA (Regular) heavyweight title for the first time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

He actually struggled at the beginning and was knocked down three times inside the first round but came back stronger to win by technical knockout in the third round.

Dubois vs Viddal Riley

Although the two have yet to face each other since turning professional, Dubois and Viddal Riley have actually faced each other before.

Riley, who was formerly known as KSI’s trainer before walking away to focus on his own career, recalled his time fighting against Dubois as an amateur.

“That was a good fight!” Riley told Sky Sports. “He was big.

“Daniel started the fight very strong. He’s very heavy-handed. He came out, he hit me with a few punches. I thought: ‘This guy!’

“It woke me up. I got into my boxing, got into my routine, picking my punches and yeah I got a win, I got a unanimous win. But a good fight and a fight that was pending for a long time, even then, even though we were only 16.”
