What Frank Warren thinks Tyson Fury will do next amid rumors of potential boxing return

Tyson Fury’s illustrious career came to an end in January 2025 when he announced his retirement from boxing.

The former WBC Heavyweight Champion hung up his gloves after a unanimous decision loss he suffered to Oleksandr Usyk in December of 2024.

This was Tyson Fury’s second loss to Usyk in a row and prompted him to retire from boxing after a 16-year career in the ring.

However, this was the third time Fury has retired and many people were unsure if he really meant it this time.

There are always lingering rumors of a Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight. Anything can happen in boxing and there is always a chance Fury will fight again.

Frank Warren says Tyson Fury will return to boxing if he wants to

Boxing promoter Frank Warren thinks Fury will return to boxing if he wants to, but admits he has plans for his retirement.

Warren said on Frank Warren’s Queensbury Promotions on YouTube:

“He’s retired, and he’s got a lot of plans. I think he’ll be announcing some things soon, so I understand. That’s where he’s at.

“If he wants to fight, he’ll fight. If he doesn’t want to fight, he won’t. And I’ll tell you what. That’s not a discussion I’m going to have with him.

“I know everyone’s saying that now, but I’ve said it from the beginning: leave the man alone, let him go, and get on with his life.”

Given this is the third time he’s retired, Fury’s comeback has been rumored a lot since the announcement.

Eddie Hearn thinks Fury could come back to fight Anthony Joshua

Eddie Hearn thinks that Fury could come out of retirement to fight Joshua.

The promoter spoke with The Stomping Ground, where he gave his view on how a potential dream fight could occur if Daniel Dubois fights Usyk in the near future.

“If Dubois fights Usyk, that might be the kind of thing that makes Tyson Fury go, ‘Oh yeah, let’s get back in there.’

“And now one’s much bigger—you know what I mean? He’s funny like that. But it’s purely on Tyson Fury. We’re ready—we’d sign that fight tonight. And I truly believe he’ll be back. I really do.”

The fight between Fury and Joshua has been long rumoured and would be one of the biggest bouts in British boxing history.
