Dana White has had his say on Ryan Garcia’s failed drugs test and it’s not what you would expect.
Ryan Garcia put in a performance of a lifetime back in April when he dropped and defeated Devin Haney.
The fighter then shocked the world again when it came out that he had tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs prior to his victory.
Garcia has maintained his innocence ever since and blames his failed tests on accidentally ingesting a tainted supplement.
The fighter, however, recently accepted a deal with the New York State Athletic Commission to take a one-year ban and a $1 million fine.
One man who has had to deal with fighters failing drug tests repeatedly is UFC president Dana White. He recently chipped in his thoughts on the debate.

Dana White reveals his thoughts on Ryan Garcia’s failed drug test
White shocked many with his response when asked what his thoughts were on Garcia testing positive for ostarine.
The UFC boss surprised everyone by defending the boxer at the UFC 303 post-fight press conference on Saturday evening.
White said: “You know I hate talking about drug testing, but with all the knowledge that we have in the years that we’ve been drug testing. We believe that [Garcia] took a tainted supplement and that he did not cheat.
“If he had the right people around him that wouldn’t have happened. We are pretty confident that it was a tainted supplement. But from what my team tell me, and these guys are the f***ing best – tainted supplement.”
Ryan Garcia to fight in the UFC whilst banned from boxing?
Garcia has been hinting at a possible switch to the UFC for years, but after the fighter was banned from boxing speculation grew.
The American has had arguments online with UFC fighter Sean O’Malley and a fight between the two in a boxing ring or octagon has been rumored.
Garcia took to X when he accepted his one-year ban from boxing to tell fans that he would be open to a switch to MMA.
He posted: “I’m headed to the UFC.” Now since White’s recent comments, he has again flirted at a possible switch, saying: “I’m excited for my first fight in the UFC.”
