‘We could be the first’… Jake Paul speaks on potential mega-fight with an opponent nobody would expect

Jake Paul maintains his ambition is to become a world champion, but has not ruled out one unbelievable mega-fight.

Jake Paul has amassed an 11-1 record, losing only to Tommy Fury via split decision.

Paul revealed he’s earned more than $160M since making his debut in the sport, and seems set to continue staging the biggest fights for the most eyeballs.

Paul faced Mike Tyson in his latest outing, and the first ever boxing event on Netflix, and has suggested an even bigger, and equally controversial, fight may come sometime in the future.

Jake Paul wouldn’t rule out a fight with his brother, Logan Paul

Though Jake is the more experienced boxer when it comes to boxing, Logan has had his fair share of bouts, with Paul losing a razor-close fight with KSI at the beginning of the influencer boxing era, and facing Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition in 2021.

When asked on The Iced Coffee Hour if he would fight his brother, Jake said: “I really don’t think we will fight. […] The only reason we maybe would is just because, like, we do everything that no one else does. No other boxing brothers in history have fought – the Klitschkos, the Charlos […] We could be the first.”

Though a boxing match is unlikely, there is the possibility that the pair face off in the cage instead:

“I think it would be better in MMA because in boxing I would beat him pretty easily. […] In MMA I think he would actually have the advantage because he’s really good at wrestling.”

There are no plans for the familial feud just yet, but when it comes to Jake Paul, never say never.

Jake Paul has retired 75% of his opponents

Paul’s record sits at 11-1, and of his 11 opponents (he faced Tyron Woodley twice), just three have fought since, meaning Paul has retired 75% of his opponents. These are the three who he didn’t retire:

AnEsonGib – Paul’s first-ever opponent has continued to box in the influencer scene, defeating Austin McBroom and Slim Albaher.

Nate Diaz – The MMA star has had one fight since losing to Paul, a majority decision victory over fellow UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal.

Tommy Fury – Fury defeated KSI in his next fight after his victory over Paul. Fury has since beaten Kenan Hanjalic, a low-level opponent, in his ring return after a period of inactivity.

Anderson Silva did have an exhibition match with Chael Sonnen, but has not fought a professional fight since the loss to Paul.
