‘Waste of time’… Fans react as Moses Itauma demolishes Dillian Whyte within one round in headline bout

The fighter that fans labeled the next Mike Tyson was in the spotlight as Moses Itauma took on Dillian Whyte in a headline heavyweight meeting.

Capping off an exciting undercard in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 20-year-old Itauma took on former Tyson Fury opponent Whyte in the main event of the evening.

The 10-round affair saw a 17-year age gap, with Whyte, 37, weighing in 10 lbs heavier than his young opponent.

In what was just the 13th professional fight of Itauma’s career, he went into the bout with the British veteran as a huge favorite.

Moses Itauma brutally stops Dillian Whyte in round one

Whyte was not able to stop the momentum of the young star as Itauma was able to score a victory over the former Anthony Joshua opponent.

Despite the veteran being a step up in competition for the fighter being compared to Mike Tyson, Itauma was able to earn yet another stoppage victory. Now with a record of 13-0, Itauma joins the likes of Joseph Parker and Agit Kabayel as the top contenders at heavyweight.

It was a quick night at the office for Itauma, who was able to put the experienced Whyte out in the opening round.

With a clear speed discrepancy in the opening exchanges, Itauma made it look easy in his first headline bout.

After stunning Whyte, Itauma rallied to put on the pressure on his opponent. Eventually crumbling to the canvas, an unsteady Whyte was waved off by the referee.
