Holly Holm returned to boxing in a big way on Saturday night as she was able to etch herself back into the win column after a lengthy hiatus from the sport.
Holm’s last boxing victory came in 2013 before she returned to compete on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
The former world champion had a dominant showing in her post-UFC return, as she had a landslide unanimous decision victory over Yolanda Vega Ochoa, who had a 10-0 record.
As a former world champion in both boxing and the UFC, Holm can now look towards reclaiming a title in the ring.
Holly Holm could potentially face either Amanda Serrano or Katie Taylor
As Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano are meeting for a third time at Madison Square Garden, Holm may look towards the winner of the bout.
Although ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ is currently 43 years old, the former world champion has her sights set on reclaiming gold. As a new big name in women’s boxing, she may look to fellow A-listers around her weight class.
Taylor and Serrano will compete in an undisputed super lightweight showdown on July 12th, while Holm’s outing on Saturday night was at lightweight.
If a big name is what Holm wants, the former UFC champion could make the move up a weight class to face the winner of the two rivals.
Holm has competed as high as super welterweight in the past in her boxing career, meaning a matchup with either Taylor or Serrano is likely not intimidating.
The former UFC champion was asked about a potential fight with Taylor or Serrano in her post fight interview. Although Holm did not address a fight with either fighter, the veteran said, “I had a good time, and I’m ready for another one [boxing match].”

Who are the female champions at lightweight?
If Holm is content to stay in the lightweight division and seek gold there, she can aim her focus towards the champions of the division.
Sister of heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois, Caroline Dubois (11-0-1) currently holds the WBC World Lightweight title.
The WBO lightweight belt is held by Terri Harper (16-2-2) from the United Kingdom.
Texan fighter Stephanie Han is the WBA champion of the division, with a 10-0 record.
Finally, ‘The Beast’ Beatriz Ferreira (7-0) is the current IBF champion as she has held the title since April 2024.
