One of Tyson Fury’s sparring partners for the upcoming Oleksandr Usyk rematch believes in a specific gameplan for Fury to implement in his revenge attempt.
Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will meet in the ring once again this weekend in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fury is looking to get even with Usyk after falling by split decision and losing his WBC heavyweight championship belt in May.
The Fury vs. Usyk rematch is one of the biggest heavyweight fights in recent boxing history and is a great way to cap off 2024’s boxing slate. As Fury is preparing to meet Usyk for the second time, he’s undergone a physical transformation in hopes of outclassing Usyk in their rematch.
Fury hasn’t pulled any punches in discussing what went wrong against Usyk in their first fight. He’s admitted he showboated too much in the ring; which gave Usyk plenty of opportunities for openings.
This time around, Fury is looking to utilize his behemoth size to his advantage. One of his sparring partners for this camp believes that’ll be the key to fending off Usyk’s arsenal.

Tyson Fury’s sparring partner David Adeleye talks Oleksandr Usyk rematch
In a recent interview with talkSPORT, David Adeleye pitched a to-the-point gameplan for Fury when he faces Usyk this weekend.
“Tyson was sharp but was doing a lot of gimmicky stuff,” Adeleye explained. “But I think he will be way more sharp and use his size a lot more.
“He needs to impose himself on Usyk more, but I feel like if anyone is going to win it’s going to be Fury this time. He needs to let Usyk know he’s in there, and not let him back him up. But he can fight on the back foot, he just needs to get the job done.” (h/t talkSPORT)
Adeleye, who defeated Solomon Dacres in his boxing return last weekend, has been a key part of Fury’s recent fight camps. He won the English heavyweight title at Wembley Arena in the victory over Dacres.
Fury’s defensive genius will be a key aspect of the Usyk rematch. His movement and distance management led to jaw-dropping showcases against the likes of Deontay Wilder and Wladimir Klitschko.

Tyson Fury looks to bounce back from first career defeat
Before losing to Usyk, Fury defeated former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and Derek Chisora after returning from retirement. The Usyk loss was the first career setback of his career, after wins in 34 of his previous 35 bouts.
Usyk, before outpointing Fury, knocked out Daniel Dubois and beat Anthony Twice inside the ring. The undefeated Ukrainian is looking to bring finality to his rivalry with Fury and rein in a new era in heavyweight boxing.
The Fury vs. Usyk 2 clash could look different in many ways this weekend, compared to their first fight. If Fury implements Adeleye’s change, he could be on the way to getting back in the win column and reclaiming championships.
