Tyson Fury possesses a versatile skillset in the heat of battle, adapting his style to nullify the pulverizing power of Deontay Wilder and authoritative jab of Wladimir Klitschko.
Even away from his two greatest victories, ‘The Gypsy King’ has produced several performances that showcase his remarkable elusiveness and spiteful killer instinct.
But while he remains one of the world’s most dynamic heavyweights, Tyson Fury ultimately had no answer for the genius of Oleksandr Usyk when they collided back in May.
And so, the outcome of his rematch with the formidable Ukrainian on December 21 will largely be determined by which style Fury chooses to bring.

Tyson Fury stole the show in Top Rank debut
Shortly after his controversial draw with Deontay Wilder, Fury inked a promotional deal with Top Rank boss Bob Arum, staging his next four outings in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The tactic behind this long-term relationship, after all, was to build the Brit’s profile in America, allowing a wider audience of fans to become more familiar with his compelling story.
Fury had already proved himself against Wilder, miraculously recovering from a brutal 12th-round knockdown before losing a highly contentious decision that many felt he deserved to edge.
In his next assignment, though, it was important for boxing fans to be reminded of his undeniable talent in the ring, albeit against a vastly more limited opponent.
And so, as he entered the MGM Grand in his Uncle Sam attire, the stage was set for Fury to put on an awe-inspiring display against Tom Schwarz in 2019.
Sure enough, the charismatic pugilist did just that – evading seven of Schwarz’s blows with his slippery upper body movement – before halting proceedings in only the second round.
Tyson Fury switched to destructive mode against Deontay Wilder
Fury has always been known for his defensive prowess but, in his rematch with Wilder, a vastly different game plan entered the equation.
After showcasing his slickness against Schwarz, the hard-hitting technician decided to produce a far more ruthless performance just two fights later, stopping his American rival in the seventh round following a punishing onslaught.
So now, given that we have seen several facets of Fury’s style, it is difficult to anticipate which approach he will take against Usyk, with the pair’s second encounter lurking just around the corner.
