Tyson Fury has announced his return to boxing, and new footage of his phone call with Turki Alalshikh reveals why.
Tyson Fury retired following his second loss to Oleksandr Usyk in December last year. He said he believed he won both fights but was not given his fair shake, and called it a day, entering into retirement, not for the first time.
Weeks after being spotted filming with Netflix, Fury has announced he will return to boxing, with his eyes set firmly on one fight in particular.

Tyson Fury names Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk as the two fights he must have to come out of retirement
In footage uploaded by Seconds Out, Fury can be seen speaking to Turki Alalshikh on FaceTime, discussing the future of his career.
The background noise makes it difficult to hear Alalshikh’s side of the conversation, but Fury can be heard stating:
“I want the Riyadh season one, yes, I want AJ, yes, and I want a fair shot at the rabbit.”
He can also be heard saying: “The Joshua fight is a stadium fight, so Wembley wouldn’t be available until April […] Oh yeah we could do that in January.”
It is unclear if he is referring to the AJ fight for January, though Fury has announced the Usyk fight for April 18th at Wembley.
Tyson Fury has retired FIVE times
The Gypsy King coming out of retirement is not a shock to many, as Fury has retired five times now.
In 2013, Fury announced his retirement after his fight with David Haye was canceled for the second time, prompting his first official retirement.

Years later, in 2016, Fury retired after his mental health issues following his win over Wladimir Klitschko. He announced his retirement again in 2017 after trying but failing to get a boxing license.
In 2022, Fury retired again after his KO win over Dillian Whyte, and filmed a documentary with Netflix shortly after.
His most recent retirement came in January 2025, after his second loss to Usyk in December.
