Tyson Fury offers shock reaction to Moses Itauma’s one-round blitz over Dillian Whyte

Moses Itauma demolished Dillian Whyte in just one round in a huge step-up fight for his career.

Dillian ‘The Bodysnatcher’ Whyte may have howled his final howl as the only thing snatched in his most recent outing was any chance of his career reaching the top once more.

Itauma defeated Whyte four rounds quicker than he had ever been beaten before, and has one-upped Alexander Povetkin, Anthony Joshua, and Tyson Fury, with his big win over Whyte.

Whyte’s most recent loss came against ‘The Gypsy King’ who did to Whyte in six rounds what took Itauma just one.

Fury has since commented on Itauma’s stellar performance over Whyte, maintaining that he has known for years that this kid is special.

Tyson Fury has believed for years that Moses Itauma is the next big thing

Following Itauma’s completely one-sided win over the former interim champion, Fury took to Instagram to sing his praises, stating,

“There he is, the future of boxing. Been saying it for years.”

Fury fought Whyte back in 2022 after ‘The Bodysnatcher’ earned his shot at the crown with a rematch win over Alexander Povetkin.

The Morecambe man has seen the talent of Itauma firsthand, as he has shared rounds with the 20-year-old in sparring.

Itauma admitted he learnt a lot from Fury, though most of it was outside of the ring.

Fury is sure to be just one of many voices praising Itauma after he has put the heavyweight division on notice with a statement performance.

Whyte was a seasoned veteran of the sport, but may well be done after the most brutal loss of his career.

Moses Itauma picked one name he wants next after savage victory

After Itauma’s brutal victory over Whyte, the Brit named a man Whyte defeated as the opponent he wants next.

Though this may seem counterintuitive, the man Whyte beat years ago is none other than Joseph Parker.

Parker’s career has seen a huge resurgence since his loss to Joe Joyce, with wins over Deontay Wilder, Zhilei Zhang, and Martin Bakole.

The Kiwi is now in line to fight Oleksandr Usyk, though if the Ukrainian relinquishes the belt fans could see a world title fight between Itauma and Parker instead.

Following his huge win, Itauma called out Parker, stating it would be a great fight next.
