Tyson Fury finally breaks his silence after surprising retirement announcement following second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk

With fans waiting on tenterhooks to find out whether Tyson Fury will ever return to the ring, ‘The Gypsy King’ has taken to social media to make an announcement, although it wasn’t exactly what people were expecting.

On December 21, the Brit went head-to-head with Oleksandr Usyk for the second time, putting in a spirited effort, in which he showcased his formidable boxing skills.

But while he was good, the Ukrainian was better, utilizing his sensational footwork and awe-inspiring fight IQ to dance his way to victory.

In the aftermath of the defeat, not for the first time, Fury claimed that he was hanging up his gloves.

Tyson Fury leaves more questions than answers with interesting Instagram post

While Tyson Fury has told the world that his career inside the squared circle has come to an end, many believe he’s a long way from done, with a fight against Anthony Joshua still heavily rumored.

However, while many expect the 6ft9 giant to make yet another comeback, until yesterday, his retirement video was the last we’d heard of him.

In his latest Instagram update, he did very little to give the public an indication of whether he’ll be returning to action, with the heavyweight merely giving a shoutout to a major boxing publication, saying: “Hi guys, Tyson Fury here! Sign up to Ring Magazine today and get your chance to win the SL55. All the best. Good luck and god bless you.”

Unfortunately, that wasn’t exactly what fans were after, with a plethora of users taking to the comment section to voice their displeasure.

One wrote: “No one cares, get back in the ring,” while another added: “When are you coming out of retirement?”

While many want to see the icon do what he does best, according to Frank Warren, there’s one reason in particular why Fury may never return.

However, whether he competes again or not, Joseph Parker claims we could see him in a cornering capacity when he fights Daniel Dubois.

And while he’s evidently past his prime, the 36-year-old proved in his last outing that he can still hang with the best of them.

Therefore, in all likelihood, he could still have a couple of big wins left in him.
