Amid links to a whole host of fights in his return to the ring, Anthony Joshua has come under fire from one of his biggest rivals once more.
Earlier this week, Matchroom Boxing leader Eddie Hearn revealed how boxing upstart Jake Paul was the current “front runner” to share the ring with former world champion Anthony Joshua, in a much-criticised potential showdown between the duo.
And overnight, former Olympic gold medalist and unbeaten ex-light heavyweight champion Andre Ward expressed his interest in snapping his eight-year retirement to fight the Watford star at Wembley Stadium.

But coming under fire for his part in talks to fight Paul later this year in his return to the ring, Joshua’s prospective opponents have been branded as “jokes” by his bitter long-time rival.
Tyson Fury rips Anthony Joshua’s potential return opponents
Coming under fire from ex-WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury this evening, the Morecambe veteran seems less than impressed with the names surrounding Joshua at the moment.
And reacting to Ward’s comments on a potential return from retirement to fight Joshua — paired with links to a fight with Paul, Fury weighed in on the Olympian’s plans for the future.
“Jokes how many people wanting AJ (Anthony Joshua) now,” Fury posted in a now-deleted comment on social media.
“Who next? The winner of Canelo (Alvarez) vs. (Terence) Crawford?”
Forever tied together for a potential blockbuster all-British showdown, a pairing of Fury and Joshua has yet to come to fruition, with talks for an overdue pairing hitting the skids just earlier this year.
Tyson Fury’s failed return against Anthony Joshua
Having both come unstuck in their most recent ring outings, Fury and Joshua were seemingly on a massive collision course for later this year.

Suffering back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk, Fury saw his unbeaten record halted, while Joshua was brutally knocked out by former champion Daniel Dubois.
And earlier this year, Fury announced his retirement from boxing once more — with talks for a showdown with Joshua hitting a standstill yet again.

Initially announcing a comeback just weeks ago with a view to a trilogy fight with Usyk, Fury has now flipped that decision again, maintaining he is once more done for good when it comes to fighting in the squared circle.
