Turki Alalshikh reveals historic plans for 6v6 boxing event pitting ‘America against England’

After announcing one of the greatest boxing events in modern history earlier this week, Turki Alalshikh has teased at potentially more ground-breaking moves in the sport.

Earlier this week, the consensus savior of boxing, Turki Alalshikh, announced one of the greatest boxing events on paper, ever, leaving the fans salivating.

The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia announced a blockbuster event, headlined by the highly anticipated rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.

Also included on the event is a heavyweight title fight between Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker and a lightweight title fight between Shakur Stevenson and Floyd Schofield.

Turki Alalshikh reveals plans for a historic 6v6 event

Despite announcing ‘The Last Crescendo’ card for February 22, Turki has also recently revealed his plans to host a historic 6v6 event, pitting Matchroom Boxing and Queensberry Promotions against Golden Boy and Top Rank as an ‘America against England’ event.

Since his emergence in boxing, Alalshikh has done extremely well to build a bridge between Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren as previously, their relationship would get in the way of seeing certain fights come to fruition.

Earlier this year, Turki worked with both Hearn and Warren to put on a 5v5 event where Hearn put five of his best fighters up against five of Warren’s.

Warren walked away with the bragging rights as all five of his fighters came out with wins.

However, this time, Turki Alalshikh has an idea to team Hearn and Warren up together to take on Oscar De La Hoya and Bob Arum in an America vs England event.

“We are also working on, maybe in May, we will find a good day to have one of two options. The first is 5v5 again between Frank and Eddie, or 6v6 between Eddie and Frank as a side, and Top Rank and Golden Boy on another side, America against England,” Turki said on Ariel and Ade: The Boxing Show.

“These are two ideas we are discussing to have in May,” he continued.

Although the boxing savior has already done tremendously to get Warren and Hearn to work against each other, he may have a task on his hands to get the two to partner with each other for an event.

Turki Alalshikh to offer Wladimir Klitschko a chance to become oldest heavyweight champion ever

As well as his plans for a 6v6 mega event, the Saudi boxing chief has also astonishingly admitted that he would like to see former heavyweight champion, Wladimir Klitschko come out of retirement to compete for the heavyweight title.

The Ukrainian legend’s last fight came in 2017 when he was knocked out by Anthony Joshua but a rematch against Tyson Fury could be possible if he does decide to pursue Alalshikh’s words.

Fury is set to finish his feud with Oleksandr Usyk this coming December 21, as the two face off in one of the biggest heavyweight fights of all time.

“The result of Tyson vs Usyk, a lot of people are waiting for them. One of them is (Daniel) Dubois. Another is (Anthony) Joshua. At the same time, there is a third person. I am dreaming of seeing this fight to give chance if he accepts to give Klitschko to come back to be the oldest heavyweight champion ever.

“To give him the chance. This is perfect,” he added.
