Boxing’s most influential man is still keen on seeing Tyson Fury put on the gloves again.
Fury shocked sports fans around the world in January of 2025 when he retired following a second consecutive loss to Oleksandr Usyk.
Although fans were not convinced by Fury’s retirement, there has been no indication that he is planning on returning to the sport anytime soon.
However, Alalshikh has been vocal since the second fight between Fury and Usyk that he would be interested in making a fight with the ‘Gypsy King’ and Anthony Joshua.

Turki Alalshikh reveals he has spoken to Tyson Fury
In attendance at February 22nd’s ‘The Last Crescendo’ in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, boxing’s most influential man was asked about an update on Fury’s return.
Speaking to The Stomping Ground, Alalshikh was asked who would be a suitable opponent for Joshua’s return to the ring. The Saudi Arabian responded by saying, “Tyson [Fury].”
“I spoke with him, but I [didn’t] talk to him about boxing. I just checked about his health and his family,” Alalshikh said.
However, the Saudi Arabian advisor finished by saying that he thinks that Fury will return to the sport of boxing despite his retirement announcement.
Alalshikh did not give any indication as to when Fury would return, or when he would like to see him fight Joshua.
One potential sign that the bout won’t happen however is Fury’s coach stating that his fighter was not interested in a return to the sport.

Anthony Joshua still eyeing Tyson Fury showdown
Speaking to The Stomping Ground following the conclusion of ‘The Last Crescendo’ in Saudi Arabia, Joshua discussed potential future opponents for his return.
Joshua began by showing his interest in a rematch with Daniel Dubois, who defeated him via stoppage in September.
However, the former heavyweight champion would also show a desire to fight Fury, despite the ‘Gypsy King’s’ retirement.
When asked about a bout with Fury, Joshua said, “That would be a great fight.”
Joshua then began jokingly adding up numbers following a comment from the interviewer saying “two-million-plus pay-per-view buys,” to show how much revenue the fight could potentially make.
