Whatever you think about the fight between 27-year-old Jake Paul and 58-year-old Mike Tyson, there’s no question that the boxing event was a rip-roaring commercial success for all parties involved.
In fact, not only has Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson shattered the record for the most-streamed sporting event ever (outside of traditional broadcast networks), but the boxing showcase has also now officially entered the Top 10 biggest combat sports gates in US history.

Top 10 US combat sports gates ranked after Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson
Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, was attended by 72,300 fans and generated an astonishing gate of some $18.1 million.
Incredibly, that means that Paul vs Tyson officially enters the Top 10 rankings for the biggest gates in combat sports history in the United States.

Paul vs Tyson also set the record for the biggest gate at the AT&T Stadium; previously held by Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders, which generated some $9 million at the ticket booth.
Yet the records tumbled far beyond Texas’ borders, with Netflix later revealing that the event had been an estimated AMA of some 108 million people with the peak concurrent viewership sitting pretty at 65 million people worldwide – making it the single most-streamed sporting event in history.
Paul, who has long been at odds with UFC CEO Dana White, was keen to drive home the fact that he’d almost beaten the MMA promotion’s record for gate revenue, which was set just a few months ago at UFC Noche.
“Crazy that we did a bigger gate than every UFC event history & that company is 30+ years old,” he wrote on X.
“Biggest gate of Mike Tyson’s career. Biggest attendance of Mike’s career. Biggest viewership of Mike’s career. Biggest combat sports gate in US combat sports history outside of Las Vegas. It takes 2 to tango.”
