‘The real deal’… Jai Opetaia wows fans as he shows off kickboxing skills during Thailand trip

While enjoying some time off in Thailand, IBF Cruiserweight champion, Jai Opetaia has wowed fans by showing off his incredible kickboxing skills.

After recently defending his Cruiserweight title against David Nyika, Jai Opetaia is spending some time off in Thailand.

Continuing his impressive undefeated run, there were calls for Oleksandr Usyk to move back down to fight Opetaia after he was touted as the only fighter to be able to potentially beat the Ukrainian.

Despite that, the Australian’s next fight is still yet to be confirmed as fans continue to throw out potential fights for him.

Jai Opetaia wows fans with incredible kickboxing skills

Although he is not currently in camp for a fight, the 29-year-old has been showing off his incredible kickboxing skills while out in Thailand.

Opetaia doesn’t have a documented background in kickboxing, however, fans were extremely impressed with his skills as he blasted kicks and switch kicks on the pads.

In a world where crossover boxing has become such a norm in the combat sports world, fans have been waiting for a reputable boxer to crossover to the MMA world.

What’s next for Jai Opetaia?

Despite there having been calls for Opetaia to challenge the seemingly unbeatable Oleksandr Usyk, it is unlikely that he will challenge him next.

Following his win over Nyika, Opetaia called for a fight against the WBA and WBO Cruiserweight champion, Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez, as he continues to attempt to become undisputed champion.

Having said that, following Dmitry Bivol‘s win over Artur Beterbiev this past Saturday, fans called for the undisputed Light Heavyweight champion to move up and challenge Opetaia for the IBF title.

With there being several options for the 29-year-old, the most likely fight to take place is a clash against Ramirez.
