The King of Upsets delivers Terence Crawford vs Canelo Alvarez prediction as Bud hopes to defy the odds in looming clash

Terence Crawford hopes to spring the upset on Canelo Alvarez in their blockbuster pound-for-pound mega-fight, and one man who caused a huge upset of his own has given his prediction for how the fight could go.

Terence Crawford has the odds against him as his mega-fight with the face of boxing himself, Canelo Alvarez, gets ever closer.

Crawford struggled to defeat Israil Madrimov at super-welterweight last time out over a year ago, but has since moved up two weight divisions to face the Mexican superstar for his undisputed super-middleweight crown.

As a result of the huge weight disadvantage, Crawford is a big underdog in the fight, though there is one man who has been there and done that in terms of springing the upset who gives has cast his prediction on the fight.

George Kambosos Jr. predicts Terence Crawford vs Canelo Alvarez

George Kambosos Jr. was 19-0, coming off a split decision win over Lee Selby, in 2021, when he was matched against a huge favorite in Teofimo Lopez.

A knockdown in the very first round for Kambosos had onlookers stunned, and a bad night at the office for Lopez became even worse when the scorecards were read out and ‘Ferocious’ Kambosos was awarded a split decision win over the previously undefeated champion.

Kambosos has built his career on this one win, which has plunged him into opportunities against Vasyl Lomachenko, Devin Haney, and Richardson Hitchins, all of which he lost.

The Aussie boxer has now spoken on Canelo vs Crawford, as Crawford hopes to do what he did against Lopez, and defy the odds.

“We saw in Canelo’s last fight against Scull that he was not able to really cut him off well, so that has caused a lot of doubters. […] But when you’re fighting a big, big fight you’re going to get up for a big fight so I believe he will cut the ring off very, very well. For him to be successful, he has to land shots on Crawford, put him in two frames of mind. Make Crawford double-think.”

“A guy like Crawford is so slick, so dynamic, able to punch you from different angles and different stances. […] He’s going to put Canelo in two frames of mind. […] Both guys do such great things.”

Kambosos suggested for Bud to win, he must outbox Canelo, and must “make Canelo second-guess himself every single time.”

Despite causing an upset himself, Kambosos admitted if he were putting money on the fight, he would be going with the naturally bigger man.

“I really believe there is weight divisions in boxing for a reason.”

‘It is OVER’… Fans react to Terence Crawford’s physique one week out from Canelo clash

One week out from the blockbuster bout, Crawford has shown off his impressive physique, looking well-conditioned, and diminishing many concerns over his weight disadvantage.

Fans have been quick to comment on the look, with one suggesting, “It is OVER for Canelo” as a result of his shape.

Another was equally impressed by Bud’s physique, which he chalks down to his extremely well-rounded work ethic, “Bud is in the gym year round. Everytime we seem him he’s in a gym. Canelo only goes to the gym when he has a fight coming up. You will see the difference sep. 13th. This will be a dominate performance. They already had the plan last year.”

Some were not convinced, though, and believe the added weight will actually be detrimental to Bud instead,

“Bud will now be slower and gas out quicker, especially for a career welterweight….”
