Terence Crawford will lose to Canelo Alvarez for two key reasons, according to legend… ‘That’s going to be a problem’

Terence Crawford is in serious trouble against Canelo Alvarez, according to a Boxing Hall of Famer.

On September 13, ‘Bud’ will challenge the highest-profile fighter in the sport for his super middleweight world titles, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Having already won belts in four weight divisions, the American is scheduled to skip over middleweight and fight at 168 pounds, which is 33 pounds heavier than the first division he conquered.

Unfortunately, in the eyes of an icon, the legend might’ve bitten off more than he can chew.

Terence Crawford is too small and likes a fight too much to beat Canelo Alvarez, according to Shane Mosley

Shane Mosley fears Terence Crawford might be too small to overcome the Mexican icon. After all, Canelo Alvarez ruthlessly knocked out Amir Khan, the last time a significantly lighter fighter moved up to challenge him.

In addition, ‘Sugar’ believes the Nebraska warrior’s style might play into his rival’s hands.

In an interview with Fight Hype, Mosley said: “I think Canelo is too big for Crawford. If Crawford was a mover like the rest of them, then maybe he could have a good chance with Canelo.

“I think that, being that Crawford is a fighter, that’s going to be a problem. He’s a fighter. He wants to fight. He can move a little bit, but his heart is not in moving. So, he’s going to have to sit there and fight with Canelo.

“If you sit there and fight with Canelo, he’s that much bigger than you. I don’t know. But everybody thinks Crawford is a great boxer, ‘he’s this, he’s that’, which he is. He’s a great fighter. I think he was a great fighter at 140 and 147, and he seems to be just good at 154. Now, we’re going to 168.”

Terence Crawford was hurt badly by a powerful right hand

A knockout could be on the cards for Canelo Alvarez, with another boxer having previously shown Crawford’s vulnerability.

In his career to date, the four-weight champion has looked almost flawless.

However, on one occasion, he really had to dig deep.

In a moment of madness, Crawford was rocked by a massive punch.
