Terence Crawford training session viewed by former world champion who shares details of ‘Bud’s’ sparring partners

Terence Crawford will aim to prove his talent when he makes a huge jump in weight to take on Canelo Alvarez.

Crawford will take on Alvarez on September 13th as the two pound-for-pound stars meet in Las Vegas.

The Mexican’s undisputed world super middleweight title will be on the line, as Crawford makes the move up from super welterweight.

Although much has been made of the size difference between the pair, one former world champion implies that Crawford is making all the right adjustments for the upcoming bout.

Shawn Porter provides details on Terence Crawford’s preparations for Canelo Alvarez

Former world champion and Crawford opponent Shawn Porter recently spoke to FightHype.com regarding the upcoming fight between ‘Bud’ and one of the greatest Mexican fighters of all time.

Porter, who is known to have a good relationship with Crawford, told the media outlet that he had been in the gym with ‘Bud’ observing his training sessions ahead of his upcoming bout.

Speaking on his visit, Porter said, “He sparred the day I went over and I saw him. When he got out of the ring we stood there and talked for a while. He confirmed everything that I thought I was seeing. He’s [beginning] that peaking process.”

The former champion also said that Crawford was ‘loving’ training and he could still see ‘passion’ in the fighter.

After saying that Crawford was ‘getting stronger,’ Porter detailed the sparring partners that ‘Bud’ was engaging with. “Big guys… Right around the six-foot mark. Guys that were around that 200 lbs mark.”

However, the former world champion added that such sparring partners were ‘nothing new’ for Crawford.

Andy Ruiz backs fellow countryman to get the job done against Terence Crawford

Although many fans will have their opinions split regarding who will be victorious in the blockbuster fight on September 13th, one former world champion has a clear say.

Former Anthony Joshua opponent Andy Ruiz Jr. believes his fellow countryman will get the job done against Crawford.

“I’m going for Canelo, of course,” Ruiz Jr. told FightHype.com. However, the former heavyweight champion feels that Alvarez could be caused problems by Crawford.

“You know, he [Crawford] has a lot of skills, a lot of movement. He’s a lefty as well. That’s what Canelo has trouble with.”
