Terence Crawford was seemingly displeased with Canelo Alvarez’s analysis of his resume.
Crawford and Alvarez may be set for a boxing superfight as Turki Alalshikh remains eager to get the fight booked.
Alvarez met with Alalshikh despite their past differences, giving fans hope that the fight could be made.
Meanwhile, the American has been vocal about wanting to fight Alvarez, including Crawford posting on social media about the bout.
Although the fight has not formally been announced yet, it is seemingly getting closer to being finalized. As well as this, tensions are beginning to flare between the pair.

Canelo Alvarez discredits Terence Crawford’s resume
When asked in an interview with TMZ Sports about Crawford, Alvarez showed respect to his potential opponent, before questioning his resume.
“I always say, I respect Terence Crawford,” said Alvarez. “He’s a very talented fighter.”
“He’s only won one big fight. He’s just beat one good fighter. Other than that, he hasn’t beat other good fighters, like [Errol] Spence [Jr.].”
Although not impressed with the strength of schedule of Crawford, Alvarez did give credit to his performance against Errol Spence Jr.
“He did a really good job with Spence. He almost made it look very easy.”
Crawford faced Spence Jr. in July of 2023, where he ended his undefeated record as ‘Bud’ won via ninth-round knockout.

Terence Crawford responds to Canelo Alvarez’s criticism
Responding to a video of Alvarez’s comments on X, Crawford was quick to disagree with the Mexican’s statements.
From his X account, Crawford said, “That’s crazy! So every fighter I’ve fought is not good but one? Just remember what you said because I’ve always had the joys of making somebodies look like nobodies.”
A bout between the pair is yet to be formally announced. However, there have been reports that the fight is entering the final stages of negotiations, with September being the targeted date.
It was rumored that Alvarez may be facing William Scull as part of a super middleweight unification bout although there is no confirmation of the Mexican facing the Cuban.
