Receiving the highest of praise from a former world champion star, Terence Crawford is bringing something entirely different to his fight with Canelo Alvarez next month.
Set to make his super middleweight limit debut in the coming weeks, unbeaten former undisputed welterweight champion Terence Crawford will take on Canelo Alvarez in a historic title clash in Las Vegas.
And ahead of his return against the undisputed kingpin Canelo, Crawford has received massive praise from a host of coaches, fellow fighters and other pundits in the boxing community.

But perhaps none more eye-catching than comparisons to a host of megastars from yesterday, from an ex-world champion.
Tim Bradley compares Terence Crawford to Floyd Mayweather and Sugar Ray Robinson
Weighing in on the clash of Crawford and Canelo, former WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley has issued huge praise for the Omaha native.
In quite a comparison, Bradley claimed Crawford’s style and ability is right up there with the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather, and he is a combination of Sugar Ray Robinson, as well as Four Kings stars Marvin Hagler and Roberto Duran.
“Crawford is (Muhammad) Ali. Crawford is Sugar Ray Robinson. Crawford is (Floyd) Mayweather, too. He got (Marvin) Hagler in him, he got (Roberto) Duran in him, understand that,” Bradley said on his YouTube channel.

And following that high praise for Crawford, Bradley seems to be taking notice of the Nebraska native’s style, like a former coach has.
Ismael Salas urges Terence Crawford to utilize Floyd Mayweather style in Canelo Alvarez fight
Of course, training Yuriorkis Gamboa to take on Crawford for the WBO lightweight crown in 2014, veteran head coach Ismael Salas has gushed over the ability and fighting style of the latter.
Furthermore, he even compared Crawford to the undefeated Mayweather, akin to Bradley’s comments — suggesting the implementation of a ‘Midwestern American’ boxing style is the key to success in his fight with Canelo.
“As you know, this American style — this Midwestern American style, rolling their shoulder and countering — Mayweather was the best at it,” Salas told Seconds Out. “So if Mayweather can bring something to Crawford, it will be a great, great point.”
