Tasked with stopping the bigger man when he shares the ring with Canelo Alvarez this month, Terence Crawford is not diminishing his own chances.
Now just a mere 14 days out from his undisputed super middleweight title charge against Canelo Alvarez, the unbeaten former two-division undisputed champion Terence Crawford will compete at 160lbs for the first time in his career.

And already linked to a host of potential fights at his former welterweight home, regardless of the result against Canelo, Crawford has been tied to a tussle with the unbeaten Jaron Ennis — who just so happens to be helping the Mexican prepare for the super fight.

But despite his jump in weight, Crawford has reminded Canelo that he’s not infallible when it comes to absorbing damage at lighter weights, too.
Terence Crawford plays up Canelo Alvarez’s past adversity in the ring
Avoiding a lot of damage during his rise from middleweight to light heavyweight, Canelo has really only ever been hurt once during his career.
Failing to touch the canvas, akin to incoming opponent Crawford, the Jalisco star was momentarily sent on his bike by Jose Cotto much earlier in his career.
But as far as Crawford is concerned, while Canelo’s chin is “granite” in his own estimation, never say never when it comes to a shock knockout.
“You know, Canelo (Alvarez) got a granite chin,” Crawford told Fight Hype. “He’s been hurt before. But you know, he has been hit cleanly and took it real well.
“You know, anything is possible,” Crawford teased.
And ramping up his pre-fight talk ahead of his fight with Canelo, Crawford’s own coach is expecting the Nebraska star to breeze through the undisputed champion with relative ease.
‘Bomac’ offers confident prediction for Terence Crawford vs. Canelo Alvarez
Tied to the side of Crawford for his title super fight with Canelo later this month in Vegas, Brian ‘Bomac’ McIntyre did not hold back in his pre-fight assessment of the clash.

Reminding fans and critics of Crawford’s scintillating knockout win over Errol Spence Jr. to capture the undisputed welterweight crown, ‘Bomac’ expects a similarly one-sided win over former light heavyweight champion Canelo.
“We gonna beat this m———— a–, dog,” McIntyre told The Ring. “It ain’t no cakewalk. But we’re gonna beat his (Canelo Alvarez) a–.
“I promise you that,” McIntyre explained. “Watch and see — I ain’t steered you wrong yet. I ain’t in the business to start now. F— that s—. I tried to tell them about (Errol) Spence (Jr.), but they didn’t wanna listen.”
