Terence Crawford has a good chance of switching Canelo Alvarez’s lights off, according to a former world champion.
On September 16, ‘Bud’ will battle it out with the Mexican sensation inside the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Throughout his career, the American has proven his power beyond doubt. Crawford once rendered Andre Gorges unconscious with a terrifying face-plant knockout.
And while doing the same thing to Canelo is a very different task, one of his former opponents believes he’s capable of doing just that.

Jeff Horn explains why Terence Crawford can finish Canelo Alvarez
Jeff Horn has given a fascinating explanation as to why he believes Terence Crawford is capable of stopping Canelo Alvarez.
Having fallen short via ninth-round TKO himself, the Australian knows exactly what his old rival can do.
In an interview with Fight Hub TV, he said: “The reason why Crawford is so good and his punches feel so strong is because he makes you walk onto them.
“He’s a smart guy, and he was using my forward momentum and putting his punches into it, which made his punches hurt 10x more.
“So, he’s like a matador, he waved the flag, I charged at it, and it’s exactly what he wanted, and he made me run into a couple of his good punches.
“Canelo has jumped up weight divisions, too. He’s not a massive guy at that weight.
“If I were to punch someone in the head, even if they’re a heavyweight, that’s going to hurt.
“It’s pretty low, the weight limit, where a guy’s power can transfer and knock out anyone. We know that with the weight divisions, the higher we go, the more knockouts happen.
“Crawford has the accuracy and the power; if he lands a clean shot on Canelo, he can knock him out.”
