Teofimo Lopez promises to deliver a monumental comeback fight in 2025, targeting fellow American stars Gervonta Davis, Terence Crawford and Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis.
The WBO world super lightweight champion comes off a routine title defense against Steve Claggett, which followed his highly contentious unanimous decision victory over Jamaine Ortiz.
Before that, though, the 27-year-old produced a scintillating performance to comprehensively outpoint former undisputed king Josh Taylor, becoming a two-division world champion.
And so, after failing to showcase his undeniable talent this year, Teofimo Lopez looks to remind fans that he is, in fact, one of the most elite operators at 140 lbs.

Teofimo Lopez names his three-man hitlist for 2025
‘The Takeover’ was in attendance for Emanuel Navarrete and Rafael Espinoza’s sixth-round stoppage victories last night in Pheonix, Arizona.
But then, during the ESPN broadcast, Lopez gave an encouraging update on his career that has left fans salivating over three potential matchups.
Without hesitation, the American called out WBA lightweight titlist Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, who is gearing up for his clash with Lamont Roach on March 1.
Still, while he already has an assignment pencilled in, Tank has maintained a degree of hostility towards Lopez, claiming that he will slap his rival next time they encounter one another.
Setting his sights on two completely different weight classes, however, Lopez also expressed his desire to face IBF welterweight titlist Jaron Ennis and WBA super welterweight champion Terence Crawford.
The possible matchups, of course, would make for compelling spectacles, but one would suspect that both fighters are currently eying up alternative options.
Crawford, after all, has been clamoring for a shot at Canelo Alvarez, while Ennis is seemingly looking to unify the 147 lb division.

Teofimo Lopez welcomes unification with Richardson Hitchins
Perhaps a more realistic option for Lopez would be a unification with fellow New Yorker Richardson Hitchins, who toppled IBF super lightweight champion Liam Paro last night.
“I’ve already got my lawyer on it,” Lopez told FightHype.com. “We want everybody. [We’ll] do it at [the Barclays Center] unless MSG [Madison Square Garden] want it.
“For 2025, we’ve got great matchups coming up for us. We don’t wanna take anything less than a world title.”
Shortly after his controversial split decision victory over Paro, Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn insisted that Lopez is the obvious next opponent for Hitchins.
And now, with Lopez confirming his interest in the potential fight, it appears that the pair could lock horns at some point next year.
