Turki Alalshikh has already shaken up the world of boxing but may look to make even more history in the future.
Taking some of the sport’s biggest names and pitting them against one another, Alalshikh has created some true mega-fights in recent years.
On February 22nd, one of the greatest boxing cards of all time will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as names such as Daniel Dubois, Dmitry Bivol, and Artur Beterbiev will take the stage.
Although Saudi Arabia has become a combat sports hub in recent years, Alalshikh may look to some more new and unusual places to host boxing matches.

Turki Alalshikh eyes boxing event in Alcatraz Prison
The Saudi Arabian advisor has expressed interest in hosting boxing matches in more unusual settings, including Alcatraz Prison in the USA.
Alalshikh began listing his “great ideas” concerning potential boxing matches in the future. “What do you think [about] a fight in Alcatraz jail?” Alalshikh asked Mike Coppinger of ESPN.
As Coppinger agreed with the idea of the unorthodox boxing venue, the Saudi Arabian began listing off other unusual places he would consider hosting a fight.
“Sometimes I get in my mind [ideas], I want different places to do [fights]. Sometimes in the mountains, sometimes in the pyramids in Mexico, someday at the Eiffel Tower in France, Collesuem in Italy.”
Agreeing that a fight in Alcatraz prison would require a special headline fight, Alalshikh did not give any indication as to who he would consider competing in the now-museum.
Turki Alalshikh proposes Jake Paul vs Mr. Beast
Speaking to ESPN, Alalshikh spoke about Jake Paul, who had been rumored to fight Canelo Alvarez in May. Paul even leaked his contract with Alvarez to show how close the bout was being made.
Eddie Hearn also revealed Alvarez would be open to a fight with Paul if the money was right.
However, Alalshikh proposed that Paul should face fellow YouTuber ‘Mr. Beast’, who has no known boxing experience.
“Let them bring in Mr. Beast, we can sanction it with Disney… Everyone will subscribe and see it.”
Alalshikh would also add that the two internet stars could compete for the “YouTuber belt.”
In terms of who Alvarez may face in his next bout in May, Alalshikh did not reveal what names he is considering, but is seemingly not interested in a fight involving Paul. The Saudi Arabian also revealed that the Mexican has signed a four-fight deal with him for his upcoming bouts.
