‘Size matters’… Logan Paul breaks down potential fight with boxing superstar Gervonta Davis

Logan Paul might be committed to his current role with the WWE, but that’s not to say that the YouTube sensation isn’t still considering lacing up a pair of boxing gloves.

After going toe-to-toe with Floyd Mayweather Jr in 2021, Paul’s boxing career took a hit thanks to a particularly controversial bout against Dillon Danis in 2023, which remains his last fight to date.

Yet given how Logan Paul remains one of the most well-known names in the industry, there’s likely still one or two enormous bouts in his fighting future – could one of them come against ‘Tank’?

Logan Paul claims he’d ‘kill’ Gervonta Davis in the boxing ring

On the latest episode of the Impaulsive Podcast, Paul was joined by rap artists T.I. and Young Dro to talk about everything from music and religion to the boxing scene.

Towards the end of the podcast, Paul would be asked about a potential fight with Gervonta Davis, and it’s safe to say that Paul believes that the bout would only go one way.

“Gervonta’s just – size matters, unfortunately, like I don’t give a f— how good you are, I learned that when I fought Floyd. Size matters [and] I would f—– kill Gervonta.”

Paul stands at 6’ 2” and competes at cruiserweight (200lbs), whilst Davis stands at 5’ 5” and fights predominantly at 135lbs – his career heaviest was still only 140lbs.

“Sorry, Gervonta, you’re a great fighter but stay in your own lane and weight class.”

Those comments haven’t sat too well with the boxing community, with one fan on X writing: “Davis would destroy Logan lmao even with the size difference.”

“He is damn near 100 pounds bigger, but if he couldn’t stop Floyd post-retirement, he couldn’t stop peak Tank,” wrote another.

Interestingly, Paul isn’t the only one who has called out Gervonta Davis in recent weeks.

So, if it’s not Davis, who does the divisive YouTuber turned WWE superstar want next?

“Bro, I’d love to fight [Conor] McGregor, but he’s owned by the UFC, he can’t do it, and he can’t do anything without daddy Dana’s permission.”

Gervonta Davis returns to the ring on March 1 in Brooklyn, New York

‘Tank’ rolls into battle once again, with his long-awaited return to the ring scheduled for just a few weeks’ time at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

He’s set to defend his WBA Lightweight world championship against 25-1-1 American standout Lamont ‘The Reaper’ Roach Jr on Saturday, March 1.

Davis only competed once in 2024, albeit a highly impressive eighth-round TKO of Frank Martin.

Roach Jr bounced back from his shock loss to Jamel Herring in 2019 with a fabulous six-fight winning streak that includes three knockouts and a WBA World Super Featherweight title last June.

Davis vs Roach Jr is one of three world title fights set for that New York card on March 1.

Jose Valenzuela is facing Gary Antuanne Russell for the WBA World Super Lightweight title, and Alberto Puello takes on Sandor Martin for WBC World Super Lightweight gold.
