Simulated Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois fight predicts brutal eighth round knockout

A simulated version of Saturday’s heavyweight title fight between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois is predicting a huge ending.

Joshua and Dubois will do battle at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday night for the IBF heavyweight title.

The two are in contest for the belt after Oleksandr Usyk was forced to vacate the title just two weeks after being crowned the undisputed champion of the heavyweight division following his victory against Tyson Fury.

Both British stars know that a win will set them up to face the winner of the Fury vs Usyk rematch to challenge for the undisputed title fight.

It’ll be one of the biggest fight nights of the year, with 96,000 fans in attendance and the bill also featuring performances from the likes of Liam Gallagher.

Although boxing can be an unpredictable sport, a simulated edition of Joshua vs Dubois by Boxing Fight Simulations on Fight Night Champion has given an insight into what we could expect.

Daniel Dubois makes strong start in opening rounds vs Anthony Joshua

Dubois enters the fight as the holder of the IBF and according to the simulation, will show that he isn’t going to give up the belt easily.

The opening round sees the 27-year-old land some strong punches before AJ came firing back in the second and third round with a series of lower body shots.

This creates an opening for Dubois however, who would then send Joshua onto the canvas with three shots to the stomach in the closing stages of the third.

It’s these weaknesses that Dubois can exploit come fight night on Saturday.

Joshua fights back against Dubois in thrilling encounter

There’s a reason why Joshua is a two-time world champion and the 34-year-old recovered from the third round setback just one round later.

This time it was ‘Dynamite’ Dubois on the floor after Joshua ends up landing a great shot to the face. Dubois manages to get up but this begins to turn the tide on the Wembley bout.

Joshua secures IBF title with brutal eighth round knockout win against Dubois

That first knockdown was the start of a dominant spell for Joshua, who really twisted the screw in the latter rounds.

And it was in the eighth round where the final blow was delivered as the Watford-born fighter knocked down Dubois once again, delivering a brutal left hook which was enough to hand the 34-year-old his third world title.

To make the winning shot more brutal, Joshua’s one-punch knockout appeared to leave Dubois in serious trouble, struggling to get up in time, bringing the fight to an immediate halt.

Of course, as this is a simulation there is no guarantee that Joshua does knock out Dubois and win the eighth round, however, the the former Olympic champion is the favorite to win on Saturday night,
