Shakur Stevenson’s cousin scores second-round KO to improve perfect record to 4-0

Shakur Stevenson is not the only fighting man in his family, as his cousin turned pro in 2024.

Shakur Stevenson may be the most experienced and advanced fighter in his family, having won world titles in three weight divisions, but he also has a cousin who is beginning to work his way up.

Zaquin Moses turned pro in November, 2024, and has fought three times since, the latest of which came last night on the undercard of George Kambosos Jr. vs Richardson Hitchins.

Zaquin Moses scores dominant knockout win over 3-2 opponent

Moses faced 1-4 Michael Ruiz in his debut, winning by unanimous decision.

Since then, Moses has never gone the distance, winning his next two fights before the end of the second round.

His latest fight saw the Newark man face 3-2 Carl Rogers, whom he stopped with a savage combination KO in the fourth round.

Stevenson’s cousin is highly-touted, with one commentator saying, “This kid has a high ceiling.”

Shakur Stevenson’s last six opponents had a combined record of 106-3

In 2022, Stevenson, who went 2-2 with Ruben Villa in the amateurs, put a one-sided beating on fellow world champion 30-0 Oscar Valdez.

After the victory, Stevenson, who fought his girlfriend’s brother, faced Robson Conceicao, who had just one loss, which came against Valdez. Stevenson was stripped of his belt ahead of this fight after missing weight.

A win against undefeated Shuichiro Yoshino set Stevenson up for his worst fight ever, not in terms of being tested or beaten but in terms of both men throwing very little.

Dos Santos set the record for fewest punches landed in a 12-round fight on that night.

Since then, Stevenson has beaten Artem Harutyunyan and electrician-turned-boxer Josh Padley.
