Shakur Stevenson says he’ll probably fight Lamont Roach Jr., but could face Teofimo Lopez

Shakur Stevenson is likely to spend the rest of the year out of action before returning in early 2026 to face Lamont Roach Jr., who’s just missed out on a Gervonta Davis rematch.

Instead of running things back with the man many thought beat him, ‘Tank’ will instead take on Jake Paul.

However, Roach isn’t the only person in the mix, with Stevenson hopeful that he could still secure a mega fight with Teofimo Lopez.

The 28-year-old tweeted: “Lamont was getting ready for the rematch, so he gone have an in-between fight and then fight me top of the year. But it’s only if Teo doesn’t accept the fight, though.”

However, things don’t always go his way.

Interestingly, a world champion claims he ‘ran’ Stevenson out of the ring during sparring.
