It has recently been announced that Dillian Whyte will face Joe Joyce on April 5th at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester
Whyte and Joyce will be joined on the card by Richard Riakporhe and Lawrence Okolie in another heavyweight bout as the Londoners will face one another.
‘The Body Snatcher’ will look to build on a recent run of three wins in a row, as Whyte scored a seventh-round stoppage in his last bout.
As for Joyce, the ‘Juggernaut’ will look to bounce back from a career-best performance from Derek Chisora, who bested him over 12 rounds.
Although the heavyweight clash will likely deliver in the ring, their pre-fight press conference could not be labeled as electric.

Dillian Whyte and Joe Joyce have awkward verbal exchange
Although many fighters are known for their fiery exchanges and clever trash talk, Whyte and Joyce did not exhibit such behaviors.
As the two were brought together ahead of their April meeting, they had a rather gauche interaction.
At one stage of the press conference, Joyce tried poking fun at Whyte, “You’re bringing the jokes, yeah?”, to which his opponent responded by saying “Say that again?”.
The interaction very quickly fizzled out, leaving the boxers in silence before Joyce said, “Anything to add?”.
With the two not verbally engaging with any substance, this led to pleas from Whyte to Joyce, “Say something bro, say something!” Joyce responded by saying, “You say something.”
The ‘Juggernaut’ would then take the lead by saying, “Anyway, we’re going to have a big fight. I’m going to punch you in the face, you’re going to try and punch me in the face… But I’m going to win at the end of the day.”
Whyte responded by sarcastically saying, “That statement sounds so convincing.”

Joe Joyce scheduled to fight before Dillian Whyte matchup
Although Joyce is set to take on Whyte in Manchester in April, that will not be the next fight that the ‘Juggernaut’ will have.
On March 1st, Joyce will make his return to the ring in Bournemouth. Facing Patrick Korte, his opponent has a 22-4 record.
Speaking to DAZN about Joyce’s fight in March, Whyte said, “Queensbury are smart… they’re going to give him a knockover job… As long as he shows up on April 5th, I don’t care.”
Whyte would go on to say that he wants to fight three times this year and that he feels that “Inactivity has killed” his career in recent years.
